Fathers Day is fast approaching – for those who need a reminder Fathers Day 2020 is June 21st. I don’t know about you but I find buying for my husband and dad so hard. Generally because when you ask them what they want they typically just shrug and say “you don’t have to buy me anything”. Arahhh, I know I don’t have to buy you a gift but I want to, lol!
In my husbands case it’s especially difficult because he seems to always thinks the weeks right before Christmas, his birthday or Fathers Day are a great time to go shopping for himself so theres nothing left for me to buy.
Now I know there’s a lot of gimmicky things on the market but I try to buy gifts that are a little more personalized and something they will actually use. Don’t get me wrong I’ve given my fair share of “#1 dad” mugs in my time but a kitchen cabinet can only handle so many.
This year my hubby is in luck, he’s getting samples of all the items I’m promoting for my Chalk Couture business – he feels so special. He even gets to help me make some of them, haha!! But shhhh don’t tell him, there will be a surprise non-chalk couture gift for him too 🙂
Here are a few ideas of items I’ve made as well as some fantastic images I’ve borrowed from other incredible Chalk Couture designers to help with your fathers day gifts this year.
Interested in making your own gift or ordering something ready made? Just send me a message as I’d love to help or visit my website to place your order for your DIY supplies on my chalk site.
I’m the DAD shirt
This shirt is super appropriate for my dad as I’m sure it is for many of yours. I wish I had a dollar for every time my dad said “because I said so” when we were growing up!! Now not all dad’s will want the “Dad Bod” on the back (definitely not my dad) but such a great added touch for the workout kings or workout wannabes!
Dad photo or art display
I love this display as it not only holds beloved photos but artwork too. It’s super simple to make (check out my recent post Photo display with Chalk Couture) and also really easy to change out the photo/art on a regular basis.
This is the gift that my husband is so excited to help make….or should I say receive! This is something he has had his eye on for a while and when he saw that I’d ordered the openers from Amazon he was super excited. There are so many options for these openers on Pinterest. A variety of sizes, cool quotes, different stains and paint finishes. This gift truly can be customized to suite your dad and their style. Now I admit this gift does take a bit more time as you have to construct the actual board & container BUT totally worth it for the beer lover in your life.
Signs and artwork
Not all dads are into home décor but a lot of the time it’s because we really aren’t catering to them right. Many, not all but many men really don’t care about the inspirational framed quote, decorative pillow or cute house cutouts we just made or purchased. So in saying that why not give dad a piece of art that is made just for him, something he can display proudly in the bar area, beside his BBQ, on his night stand. Here are just a few ideas but as you know Chalk Couture has dozens of transfer options that can be used to personalize your dad’s own sign.
Glasses & mugs
Okay I know I said we have exhausted gift giving of mugs in our house but there are still as few ideas that dad may love. What about a beer cozy, set of etched glasses or tin cups for that next family camping trip? Here is a set of camping mugs I made recently that any camping dad will love. And just a reminder, it’s doesn’t have to say DAD to be a great Fathers Day gift!!
As always thanks for checking in to my little corner of the internet. I hope you found some great Fathers Day gift ideas here and can see once again how awesome and versatile the Chalk Couture products are.
